Forward Ever is a not-for-profit organization that celebrates and amplifies the collective impact of independent, locally-owned businesses.
We are the first urban affiliate of the Business Alliance for Local Living Economies (BALLE), the largest values-aligned business alliance in North America.
We SUPPORT, PROMOTE, EDUCATE, and ADVOCATE for a strong local business community and raise public awareness of the economic and cultural benefits provided by a strong local economy.
Forward Ever is fostering a movement committed to the economic and environmental sustainability of the Greater Newark community via a Triple Bottom Line approach.
Our Programs
Shop Newark is an economic development initiative that encourages people who eat, play or stay in Newark to support local businesses by offering a property tax rebate.
If you’re a renter, or commute to work in the city, you can receive an annual rebate check.
People who sign up for the program and shop with participating merchants not only get check, but receive discounts from local businesses.
