NEWARK ARTS FESTIVAL

THURSDAY OCT 10 - SUNDAY OCT 13 

Newark Arts Festival 2019 celebrates its 18th year as a free citywide arts festival in New Jersey’s largest city. Check out the exhibition schedule below and make sure you jump onto a studio tour to celebrate the arts and artists in our great city!

NAF was recently named Favorite Visual Arts Festival in the 2019 JerseyArts.com People’s Choice Awards and each year, the Festival puts a spotlight on Newark’s artistic and cultural institutions, features both nationally recognized and also emerging, local creatives, and provides attendees the opportunity to shop and purchase the work of over 100 artists in their open studios. Alongside the visual arts, music, dance, theater and spoken word can be found throughout the festival, as well as hands-on arts activities for youth. 

Brick 4 Kidz programs provide an extraordinary atmosphere that helps ignite students' interest in science, technology, engineering, architecture and math as they build unique creations, play games, and have fun using LEGO® Bricks! The activities are designed to trigger children’s lively imaginations and build their self-confidence.

HEELS ON WHEELS: S&A AUTO REPAIR

- EMPOWERING AUTO WORKSHOPS FOR WOMEN -

Learn to understand the language of your car so you feel secure, empowered, and become more independent!

S&A Auto Repair will help you save money by teaching you how to keep your car in good condition, prevent unnecessary damage, and avoid possible accidents. In these seminars students will be taught the importance of checking tires, fluids, the lighting system, the brake system, and the battery, among other basic car maintenance necessities.

20% of the total proceeds from the workshops will be donated to two non-profit organizations that care about education and the homeless.

S&A Auto Repair is a family-owned business in Newark, NJ.  They are committed to empowering women through educational auto workshops beginning in September and running throughout the fall.

Enjoy delicious Brazilian Rodizio grilled over charcoal at authentic Casa Nova Grill!

Rodizio is a style of restaurant service in Brazilian restaurants. One pays a fixed price and the waiters bring an offering of food to each customer at several times throughout the meal, until the customers signify that they have had enough.
